📄 Privacy Policy for fDuty

Effective Date: 15 March 2026

Company: FlameSoft

Welcome to fDuty ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how your personal information and app data are collected, used, and safeguarded when you use the fDuty mobile application.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the minimum amount of data necessary to provide you with a seamless attendance and wage-tracking experience:

  • Locally Stored Data: By default, all your attendance records, work hours, overtime, daily wage configurations, and currency preferences are stored securely on your device's local storage using a local database.

  • Account Information: If you choose to enable Cloud Sync/Backup using Google Sign-In, we collect your basic profile information (Name, Email Address, and Profile Picture) provided by Google.

  • App Usage & Crash Data: We may collect anonymous diagnostic data (such as crash logs) to help us fix bugs and improve app performance.

2. Device Permissions

To function correctly, fDuty requests the following permissions:

  • Notifications: We require notification permissions to send you personalized daily reminders to mark your attendance (e.g., "Time to Update!"). You can modify or disable these alerts at any time in the app settings.

3. How We Use Your Data

The data we collect is used strictly for the following purposes:

  • To calculate your estimated monthly earnings and generate performance summaries.

  • To personalize your experience (e.g., addressing you by your first name in notifications).

  • To securely back up your data to the cloud (only if Google Sign-In is authorized by you) so you can restore it if you change your device.

  • To improve the app's stability and user interface.

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third parties. Your data is only shared with trusted third-party service providers (like Google Firebase) strictly for authentication and secure database hosting purposes. These providers are bound by strict data protection laws.

5. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data. Cloud backups are secured using Google's Firebase infrastructure. However, please remember that no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure.

6. Your Rights & Data Deletion

  • You have full control over your data:

  • Local Data: You can clear your history or delete the app to wipe all locally stored data.

  • Cloud Data: If you have synced your data, you can contact us to request the complete deletion of your account and associated data from our servers.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
